MMS Stòrais Pick-Up & Drop-Off Overview

Our team, using guidelines from the health officials, has worked to safely empty the contents of student lockers, bag those items, and label them with your child’s name and student ID number. This process will take May 11-15th. You will find the schedule for drop-off and pick-ups at the end of this email.

When your family arrives at your designated time, please have a paper with your child’s name and ID # written in large, bold print so we can match your child’s belongings with your car. Then, if your trunk is accessible, a member of our team will load the items into your trunk, maintaining social distancing. No students or visitors will be allowed to enter the building for any reason.


MMS Chromebooks

If your child has a Mason City Schools Chromebook, your child will KEEP the Chromebook over the summer. There is no need to return the Chromebook to us.

**If your child’s Chromebook is in need of repair, you can find information at mcscovid19.com about IT support.


Items for Drop-Off

MMS Athletic UniformsIf you were issued a uniform for spring sports, there will be a drop cart near the entrance to the Arena in the back parking lot. You can drop it off when you come for pick up or anytime between 2 pm and 6 pm during the week of May 11th – 15th.

MMS Library Books/MaterialsFor items checked out of our MMS library, there will be drop off carts near the pick up lines where you can deposit your book.

  • If you return home and realize that you have a book in the bag of items you picked up, you can drop the book off in the carts any time between 2 pm and 6 pm during the week of May 11th – 15th.

Classroom or TeacherBorrowed ItemsIf you need to return a device that you borrowed/used for one of your classes, you will be able to drop it off during the item pick up dates. Attach a tag/label with the following information:

  • Student Name & ID number

  • Class/course device was used in

  • Teacher name (the teacher from whom the item(s) was borrowed)

Band Instruments Please see information from the band directors in their weekly emails about summer options for school-owned instruments. If you need to drop off a School-Owned instrument you used during the 2019-20 bliadhna sgoile, you can send an email to Mr. Hinson ([email protected]). He will make arrangements with you to complete the drop off.


MMS Item Drop-Off / Pick-Up ScheduleMay 11-15

The schedule is based off the location of your child’s locker number. If your child cannot remember where their exact locker number, your child has items to be retrieved from another location in the building (like a classroom), or you have an extenuating circumstance that prevents you from arriving at your designated time, please email [email protected].
