Kòm nan yè nan 2pm, pa gen okenn ka konfime COVID-19 nan Mason City Lekòl, ak 2,902 konfime ka nan Ohio. Anba a gen repons pou kesyon komen nan men fanmi nou yo ak piblik la.

What types of learning assignments should I expect as we enter the next phase of Remote Learning on Monday?

The majority of our learning will be asynchronous so that students can engage at a time that is convenient to the family’s schedule.

If your child is in grades PK-6:

Pwofesè yo ap gen ladan aprantisaj nan tout domèn kontni. Learning plans will include a mix of introducing new content and allowing students time to practice and reinforce what has been introduced.

Elèv yo pap bezwen devan yon aparèy pou tout tan aprantisaj yo. Plan aprantisaj yo ap gen ladan yon konbinezon de eksperyans ki mande pou teknoloji ak pa mande pou teknoloji. Elèv yo pral pase tan lekti, ekri, oswa rezoud pwoblèm matematik lwen yon ekran.

Pwofesè zòn espesyal yo (tankou gym, Mizik, ak atizay) will each share one lesson a week for students to engage in.

Si pitit ou a nan klas 7-12:

Elèv yo ap resevwa plan pou aprann chak semèn nan men pwofesè yo pou tout kou yo enskri kounye a nan MMS oswa MHS. Plan aprantisaj chak semèn yo pral òganize pou elèv ka angaje ak aprantisaj nan yon fason ki pi byen adapte orè yo ak preferans aprantisaj yo. Kèk elèv ka pito angaje ak chak kou chak jou epi gen kèk ka prefere konsantre sou 1-2 kou chak jou.

Plan aprantisaj yo pral itilize yon varyete metòd diferan pou angaje elèv yo nan aprann nouvo kontni ak ladrès. Plan aprantisaj yo ap gen ladan yon konbinezon de eksperyans ki mande pou teknoloji ak pa mande pou teknoloji.

Learning plans will primarily ask students to utilize tools and resources they are familiar with and have used throughout this year. Si yon elèv bezwen sipò adisyonèl oswa konsèy ak nenpòt ki aspè nan yon plan aprantisaj, they are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the Comet Connect Time (see below) and/or email their teacher.

If your student receives core academic instruction in a specialized classroom

Espesyalis entèvansyon w lan pral an kontak avèk ou pou devlope plan endividyèl pou livrezon leson an.

How long will my child be expected to spend focused on learning activities each day?

Konprann ke anpil fanmi yo jungle responsablite miltip nan kay ak ke pandan yon jounen lekòl regilye elèv yo gen kèk tan ki pa aprann (pa egzanp, nan manje midi, tranzisyon ant klas yo, oswa rekreyasyon), atant nou se ke elèv yo ap depanse mwens pase yon jounen lekòl konplètman aktivman angaje nan aktivite aprantisaj. Egzakteman konbyen tan elèv yo ap depanse angaje nan aktivite aprantisaj yo pral varye selon aprantisaj yo.

Si ou jwenn ke elèv ou a akable yo ak aktivite aprantisaj ap pran twò lontan oswa ke elèv ou a pare pou aktivite edikasyon pwolonje, please reach out to your teacher.

How do I get refunds for activities, events or trips that have now been cancelled?

We are issuing refunds for activities and field trips that were scheduled in April but have now been cancelled. If you have questions about an activity or trip, please reach out to your school principal.

Ki jan nou ka sipòte komune nou an?
Shop for Senior Citizens: The Coronavirus crisis is affecting almost everyone’s routines, transportation, and way of life. This means that the usual social support and contacts older adults have with others may be diminished. For homebound seniors without support networks, this can be devastating. For some, the ability to even get to the grocery store for basic food items has been completely disrupted. In response, United Way of Warren County Volunteer Resource Center in partnership with Warren County Community Services, Inc. is recruiting volunteers willing to shop for 60 identified low-income and at-risk senior citizens in our community for the most basic and sustainable items. Sign Up to Help!

Unite with Light for Healthcare Professionals: On Sunday, April 5th at 8PM, place a luminary or a simple candle outside your home as we unite with light. Let this offer support to the many doctors, nurses and medical professionals working to aid others through the COVID-19 outbreak. Let this allow our community to shine bright despite the circumstances!
